All our tips for firm and toned skin

Over time, the oval of your face begins to relax, your features tend to hollow out, your skin seems less firm? Rest assured: it is not inevitable!

By understanding the origin of this problem and by pampering your epidermis With appropriate care and gestures, you will be able to boost the elasticity of your skin and (re)discover in your mirror sharper contours, as if redesigned. We explain everything to you.

What are the causes of this loss of firmness?

Over the years, your skin experiences a drop in energy and cell renewal slows down. The fibroblasts that support it synthesize collagen and elastin less well. Deprived of its "framework", the epidermis loses firmness and sags...

But sometimes, the effects of time are not the only culprits. Very sensitive to its environment, your skin is also often put to the test by external oxidative factors: tobacco, stress, sun and pollution, which lead to a decrease in its tone and the thinning of its dermis. This is to say that it is advisable to avoid them!

What solutions are there for more toned skin?

Gentleness and perseverance are the key words. By following a precise beauty routine and respecting a healthy and balanced diet, your skin will very quickly regain its firmness.

Bet on regularity!

It is thanks to a well-established skincare ritual that your skin will have every chance of re-toning itself. So, keep up the (good) rhythm:

  • Every day: opt for treatments rich in peptides . These chains of amino acids stimulate natural mechanisms and restart the precious production of collagen and elastin. Also use creams daily full of hyaluronic acid , a super ally for firmness! Finally, practice self-massage – by hand or using a roller or a Gua Sha – because it promotes blood circulation and activates the production of collagen.
  • Every week: revitalize it by applying a nourishing mask .
  • Every 3 months: perform a peel . The star of skin renewal, it stimulates regeneration by ridding the skin of dead cells and impurities.
  • As a 2-month treatment: have photobiomodulation or LED sessions to deeply improve the quality of your skin and benefit from all the benefits of light.

Keep good reflexes in mind

Protect your skin every day from the sun and UVA rays, which damage its elastic fibers. Don't expose yourself without applying a sunscreen with an SPF of 50, which will also be an excellent anti-wrinkle shield!

And at night, sleep to enjoy restorative sleep. Because this is the time when the natural cell regeneration process is at its peak: while you rest, your skin is activated…

Take care of your diet

Give your body the essential fatty acids it needs, such as omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 found in rapeseed oil, borage, evening primrose or sea buckthorn, oily or blue fish, rocket or hazelnuts. Also give pride of place to foods rich in selenium , such as seafood and pulses.

And above all, limit the consumption of processed products and refined sugars (carbonated drinks, sweets, etc.) which cause accelerated aging of tissues. Choose fruits full of vitamin C such as guavas, blackcurrants, citrus fruits and kiwis which will help you preserve the youthfulness of your skin and will delight you.

Act from within too!

Choose treatments based on vitamins C , E and A. Their antioxidants strengthen your skin's natural defenses. Better protected, it fights more effectively against sagging skin. Also consider incorporating dried fruits, seeds and oils of rapeseed, wheat germ, sea buckthorn, almond and safflower into your "firming diet" because they are very rich in vitamin E (our favorite!).

Embrace super plant ingredients like goji berries, tea, and some of the beauty world’s leading spices, like paprika and turmeric. Real treasures of antioxidants … and flavors.

Take care of your intestinal and skin microbiota . Composed of small friendly bacteria full of resources, it ensures the balance of your body by providing it with its daily intake of prebiotics and/or probiotics. As a first line of defense, it therefore works wonders on your inner well-being… which can also be seen on the outside!
